Nearby are the Perth landmarks of the Barrack Street Jetty and Bell Tower; the magnificent 19th century His Majesty's Theatre and the more modern Perth Concert Hall.

A further walk will take you to the arts precinct where the Art Gallery of Western Australia, the Museum and the State Theatre are to be found.

At Council House, where the Lord Mayor and administration of the City of Perth is located adjacent to Stirling Gardens, there is the City Library and to the rear of the building, the magnificent Supreme Court building.

Along St. George's Terrace there are many churches, including Trinity Church, St. George's Cathedral, the Uniting Church and just off the Terrace the newly renovated St. Patrick's Cathedral and adjacent buildings.
